MikaZone™ Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether made from natural polymer material cellulose through a series of etherification. It is a white powder that swells in cold water into a clear or slightly turbid colloidal solution.

The products are widely used for industrial applications. Building grade HPMC is very often used as a thickener, water retention agent in the formulation of tile adhesives, grouts, self-leveling compounds, reinforcing and bonding mortars for EIFS/ETICS, gypsum plasters, paints & coatings, and so on.
